Our single post set allows setting up a dome shelter with one shipping container. This means using less space on your property and still retain the 36m2 undercover floor area.
Traditionally container dome shelters are attached to the inside top edge of 2 shipping containers, creating an extra 2.44m x 6m of ground area for each shipping container. Using a single post set you still get the benefits of a large undercover area, only using less space on one side of the structure.
Post can be anchored to concrete footings via the welded bracket on the post spigot. The galvanised steel post fits over the base plate spigot and is connected together using galvanised bolts. A steel square tube eaves rail runs across the top of the posts and is screwed into place via the welded bracket on top of each post, creating a strong and durable foundation to attach the shelter frame.

In this 40 ft shipping container example, there are 5 support posts. We highly recommend sinking concrete piers for each post, at a minimum diameter of 500mm. Refer to your local building codes for the correct pier depth and steel reinforcement.

This configuration requires some basic welding. The trussed roof base plate connectors must be welded to the main eaves beam running along the top of the post. From there, the roof trusses are welded to the base plates separately.
