Note: A comprehensive and detailed installation and assembly guide is included with each Container Dome Shelter to ensure precise and correct assembly.
1. Container Alignment
Position the shipping containers to align with the predetermined width dimensions of the shelter. This ensures that the roof trusses will fit securely and accurately to the shipping containers, maintaining stability. Full site set out details are supplied with every purchase.
2. Base Rail Assembly
Assemble the steel base rails by joining them together as per the instructions. Install these rails along the top edge of each container using the bolt-on C Clamps and locking plate. This forms the foundational support for the arches.
3. Arch/Truss Assembly
Lay out the arch sections on a flat surface. Carefully connect these sections together to form the complete arch structure. This step requires attention to detail to ensure each section is correctly aligned and securely connected together.
4. Arch/Truss Installation
Proceed to hoist each assembled arch truss one at a time into position. This step will require lifting and safety equipment to perform the task to WHS standards. Positioning each arch onto the previously installed base plates on top of the shipping containers, and secure them down with the supplied nuts and bolts.
5. Roof and End Wall Cover Installation
Start by gently unpacking the shelter cover onto a flat surface, free from debris or any other objects that may damage the cover. Ensure the cover is facing the right way to allow the ropes to be fitted through the eyelets and pulled up and over the structure. Lift the cover onto the roof of one container, then methodically pull the cover up and over the trusses to the other container with ropes provided. Secure the edges of the cover firmly, applying the correct tension via the supplied ratchets and straps to ensure a snug and secure fit. This step is crucial for weatherproofing and overall stability of the shelter. Proceed to do the same for the end wall and fasten it to the end truss as per instructions.
