60ft/18m Wide Steel Frame Tube End Wall

This meticulously engineered end wall is designed for shipping container dome shelters with a 60-feet/18 metre span. The 60EW model has been designed to fit a double truss container shelter frame. It features an impressive 6.1 metre apex when mounted on standard 2.66-meter high general-purpose containers (6.4 on High Cube containers), culminating in a soaring 9-meter floor-to-roof apex on a General Purpose container.

Constructed from high-specification 900GSM PVC, which is UV-resistant, fire retardant, and mold-resistant, this fabric is rigorously formulated to meet the severe and unpredictable Australian climate, offering robust protection against wind, rain, and other adverse environmental factors. This end wall is not merely an accessory but a fundamental enhancement that transforms any space into a fortress of dryness, safety, and security.

The backbone of this wall unit is its interconnecting hot-dip galvanized steel tube frame, designed to bolster both the durability and structural integrity, essential for  equipment, machinery, materials and personnel. This is especially crucial across sectors such as construction, mining, logistics, and agriculture where reliability under duress is paramount.

Our commitment to safety and compliance is evidenced by the fire retardant properties of the material, which meet the stringent requirements of Workplace Health and Safety standards. This is crucial for environments where risk factors such as open flames and welding are prevalent, necessitating superior protective measures.

The design incorporates heavy-duty, high-tensile steel bolts and quality fixing components, ensuring a seamless integration with the container and the roof truss arch. Stability and security are further reinforced by anchoring the end wall horizontal rail to the ground, with all fittings provided, assuring a robust, enduring installation.

End Wall Roping & Fastening Methodology

The method for attaching the end wall PVC fabric cover to the dome shelter framework employs a meticulous roping and tensioning system designed to ensure maximum durability and stability.

  1. Roping Mechanism: The PVC fabric cover is attached using a heavy-duty rope that is threaded through reinforced eyelets running along the edges of the PVC material. This roping technique allows for even distribution of tension across the entire surface of the fabric, significantly reducing the risk of tearing under high wind loads or other environmental stresses. It also provides a flexible attachment method that can accommodate slight movements and adjustments without compromising the integrity of the seal.
  2. Securing with Angle Brackets: To reinforce the connection, angle brackets are positioned at key junctions between the fabric and the frame. These angle brackets are made from high-grade steel, providing a strong bond to the container, creating a robust link that fortifies the entire structure against dynamic loads and impacts.
  3. Engineering Benefits: This dual-method approach of using both roping and angle plates provides several engineering advantages:
Enhanced Load Distribution: The combination of flexible roping with rigid angle plates disperses stress more evenly throughout the structure, reducing localized stress points and prolonging the lifespan of the fabric.
  4. Increased Structural Integrity: The angle plates ensure a firm mechanical connection to the frame, significantly enhancing the overall structural integrity of the assembly.
Weather Resistance: The secure attachment system is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, ensuring that the shelter remains watertight and intact even in harsh environments.
  5. Compliance and Safety: This method not only meets but exceeds industry standards for safety and durability, ensuring compliance with rigorous engineering specifications required in various applications, particularly in sectors such as construction, mining, and agriculture where reliability is critical.
